Listen to Suzanne Herscovitch explore the life and accomplishments of her father-in-law, the Olympic middleweight boxer Moe Herscovitch (1897-1969). Moe Herscovitch won a bronze medal in boxing at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp, and continued to lead as Canadian champion for several more years. He was also a star football player, acting as president of the Quebec Football Union for 5 years. Following his retirement from professional boxing Moe Herscovitch served as the phys-ed director of Montreal's YM-YWHA, and outside sports he worked as an insurance broker.
