Where Jewish culture
meets contemporary art
and new ideas

The Museum of Jewish Montreal (MJM) is a an intersectional contemporary arts and cultural institution committed to using multidisciplinary art as an activator for exploring Jewish identity, memory, and community in a global context. Since opening its gallery in 2016, MJM has become a site for experimentation, research-creation, and dialogue, presenting ambitious exhibitions, site-specific installations, murals, residencies, and public programs by both emerging and established artists. Its curatorial practice foregrounds themes of diaspora, intersectionality, and interdisciplinarity, and has positioned the Museum as a first-mover in launching artists and projects that go on to receive national and international recognition. Through critically acclaimed programming and partnerships with respected cultural institutions, MJM has established itself as a leading platform for contemporary Jewish artistic expression in Canada and beyond.
