Listen to pediatrician and politician Victor Goldbloom (1923-2016) discuss his early life, his memories of the founding of the Jewish General Hospital, and the development of the practice of medicine in Jewish Montreal. Among other things, Victor Goldbloom was Quebec's first Minister of the Environment (1973-1976), Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs (1973-1976), the CEO of the Canadian Council of Christian and Jews (1979-1987), and Canada's Commissioner of Official Languages (1991-1999), as well as previously working as a pediatrician and teaching at McGill University (1950-1970).
