But a considerable number found their way to this neighbourhood, which they called \\u201cPapineau.\\u201d Many of these newly arrived Jewish immigrants opened stores or worked at the railyards nearby. Florence \\u00ab\\u00a0Bubbles\\u00a0\\u00bb Weigens\\u2019 mother Rose grew up in \\u201cJewish Papineau\\u201d and often shared her fond memories and stories with her daughter.
